Spencer College has two well-equipped campuses. Head Office is in Brisbane, the capital city of Queensland, and our other campus is situated on the Gold Coast in Queensland’s south east.
The State is continually improving student lifestyle and Spencer College campuses have easy access to public transport, accommodation, leisure and educational support facilities.
The Brisbane campus is centrally located at Woolloongabba, an inner city suburb approximately 2 kilometres from the central business district of Brisbane, the capital city of Queensland. There is easy access to accommodation, restaurants, food outlets, shops, cricket and football stadium, learning facilities and the State library.
The Southport Campus is located in the commercial hub of the famous Gold Coast, just 80 kilometres south of Brisbane. Here students will enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of a premier tourist destination with easy access once again to accommodation, restaurants, food outlets, shops, sports stadium, learning facilities and library.
Both Campuses are easily accessible by public transport due to their prime locations. Students can use public transport or bicycles to make their way around Brisbane’s inner city and to the College. The Gold Coast also has a large bus network and trains that connect to Brisbane. They are also in the process of building a modern, inner-city light rail network. Spencer College, Brisbane is located a five minute walk from Woolloongabba train and bus station. Both the train and bus networks provide easy, safe and affordable access to all of Brisbane and surrounding suburbs from early morning to late at night. Spencer College, Gold Coast is located a five minute walk from Southport bus terminal and a 15 minute walk to the interstate bus terminal.
Home stay is an excellent choice for students wanting to experience living in an Australian home, while at the same time improving their English. Students generally have their own furnished bedroom and share living spaces with their home stay family. Meals are included; however telephone calls and travel expenses are not. Your host family will help you learn about travelling to classes by public transport.
